Twas the night before Mearfest, when all thro' the house
Not a rock god was stirring, not ev' Abaddon himself Molly-shirts were hung by stage right with care In hope that Satan's Empire soon would be there The children wore ear defenders all snug on their heads While new wave of heavy metal woke up the South Shields dead.

Thank you to Beverley Johnstone from bevsbakesandnoveltycakes for baking us this incredible creation for Mearfest today!!
We can not thank you enough for what you have done for us all, it looks too good to chop up. We will be sharing this today with everyone. Beverley Johnstone - YOU ROCK Beverley kindly made us this incredible cake for Mearfest
We had the idea to hand out cake after Mearfest Slough in June 2018 when I went round with boxes of Belgian chocolates that Patrick had brought for us all. So why not cake? Beverley answered our calls and got to work. My goodness it was good, victoria sponge with butter cream and jam filling. The tape was made out of rice krispies and marshmallow with nearly zero calories, which went down a treat while doing the housework at home Tuesday morning! I must have cut up about 100 slices, placed on only the finest unicorn napkins. THANK YOU SO MUCH Beverley. This beautiful piece of art has been created by Lyndsey Hopkinson of Angelfacejewellery

THESE ARE THE LAST BLACK AND RED MOLLY SHIRTS AVAILABLE. DON'T MISS OUT! jeff summers from the mighty weapon ukDANNY HAYNES FROM WEAPON UK I finished a 12 hour day last night and undertook a 95 mile round trip to see Weapon UK at the Cavern in Raynes Park London.
Weapon were formed in 1980 and have a long and illustrious past having toured extensively with Motorhead amongst many others. Danny Hynes and Jeff Summers have been very supportive of both myself and Claire since we first embarked on Mearfest as an "All Rock and Metal" concern in 2016 The venue was superb, small but with a great, warm and friendly crowd. I felt amongst friends straight away . Danny and Jeff insisted on wearing our "Molly" shirt, and it was great to see Molly with them on and off stage. Also many new people were asking about the significance of the hand print was very emotive for me as always. The gig was perfect with a great blend of old and newer material and a fantastic cover of "The Rocker" by Thin Lizzy to place the icing on the cake. NWOBHM bands such as Weapon UK have such heritage and incredible musical talent. We are blessed at present to have these bands grace our venues. We live in a time and an age where music like this isn't supported as much as it should be especially in the UK at present. All I can say is I took a little bit of time and effort which was rewarded with true greatness last night. A absolute gem of a gig, and seeing Jeff playing with our daughters handprint on his chest made me very proud but with tears in my eyes. The spirit of Molly really has risen from the ashes. The Awakening So come with me tonight I know we'll ride this storm Our Phoenix will take flight We are reborn.... There are no words. When it came to leaving the hospital after I gave birth To the baby I had longed for I gave birth to death All we got to take home after nine long painful months Is this collection of keepsakes. THIS IS WHY WE REMEMBER THIS IS WHY WE SPEAK UP AND TALK ABOUT OUR HARROWING EXPERIENCE TO RAISE AWARENESS THAT THIS CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE REMEMBERING MOLLY MEAR 12TH AUGUST 2013 The death of a baby is not a rare event. It can happen to anyone. Every year, thousands of people in the UK are affected by the death of a baby or experience pregnancy loss. A collaboration between more than 60 charities across the UK, Baby Loss Awareness Week is held from 9 to 15 October to raise awareness about the key issues affecting those who have experienced pregnancy loss or baby death in the UK. Throughout the week bereaved parents, their families and friends, unite with each other and others across the world to commemorate the lives of babies who died during pregnancy, at or soon after birth and in infancy. Now in its 16th year, Baby Loss Awareness Week calls for tangible improvements in research, care and policy around bereavement support and highlights bereavement support and services available for anyone affected by the death of a baby at any stage.
