I've had a lot of highs and lows over the years I've had huge loss and sadness and periods of true happiness I've seen life in all its beauty and in all its horror The one constant has been my love of Rock music which really has been an incredible passion. When I stand on that stage at Mearfest on Saturday 1st of June and announce this band it will be a very emotional moment for me and the highlight of twenty years of Charity rock gigs. Quartz ! I bought the album 'Stand up and Fight' when I was eighteen years old. It's been one of a very few albums that have formed the soundtrack to my life Music can be an incredible force for good Come and witness true greatness In memory of our beautiful daughter Molly Mearfest... Be a part of something amazing  On 1/2 nd of June this year Mearfest will be hosting a 40th birthday party for the NWOBHM. On the Saturday we have the honour of seeing Airforce play for us for the very first time. This has been a long time coming but it's going to be well worth the wait. When we talk about the NWOBHM there's one band that really comes to mind. Iron Maiden and one of the original members drummer Doug Sampson went on to join Airforce following on from Maiden Doug played on the legendary " Sound house tapes " and that really is the stuff of legend Airforce have a very long and illustrious history and recently recorded with original Maiden singer Paul Di'anno Expect Metal at its very best  |
