They bring youth, excitement, and their own band of classic heavy metal, all the way from The North East. Expect screams of Satan.
At the end of this set a magical moment when the Legend that is

joins them for ‘See you in Hell!’
 
14.00 – 14.40 CHEMIKILL

A female fronted band, this Midland power house have been plying their
trade in classic metal since 1986.
Expect classic heavy metal played with power and passion!
 
15.00-15.40 RAMPANT

This is a Mearfest first! Our first NWOBHM band to reform especially for Mearfest. This Essex based band formed back in the midst of time in 1980 when the world was truly monochrome, now resplendent in rich colour and light, they bring the metal into the new millennium.
 
16.00-16.40 SNATCHBACK

Another Brilliant NWOBHM band who were absolutely stunning at Mearfest North last year, we are proud and excited to host them again. So powerful Ste Byatt plays barefoot, they certainly blew our socks off!
 
17.00-18.00 VICTORIUS EMPIRE

A combined set comprising of Victorius travelling all the way from Glasgow. This tremendous old school style band keeps the flame of true metal burning bright.
They join, firm Mearfest favourites SATANS EMPIRE who will be playing some brand-new material from their forthcoming new album, along with some older classics and a few new surprises. All hail the Empire!
 
18.30-19.30 WEAPON UK

Initially formed in 1980 and have toured extensively with Motorhead and many others. Having travelled from all corners of Europe to be with us. They bring power, melody and above all entertainment. Prepare for the set of a lifetime.
 
20.10 – 21.10 THUNDERSTICK

We are honoured to have the ex- Iron Maiden/Samson drummer and the new line up of Thunderstick with us at Mearfest this year. Barry Purkis is the true face of the NWOBHM, even though you never see it!! Expect theatre, expect passion, expect excitement, expect yours truly to be sacrificed LIVE ON STAGE!!!!! A visual and musical spectacle awaits us all.

14.00 – 14.40 MALLEUS – Andro Coulton (post WITCHFYNDE) NWOBHM project. With exclusive numbers from their new album, Your Nightmare Calls, along with a rendition of ‘Give em hell’ Perfect! 

15.00 – 15.40 THE DEAD CAN WAIT
Mick Hare and Steve McLoughlin’s new band from local Reading, NWOBHM bands Iron Heart and After Dark, we are really looking forward to hearing this……
 
16.00 – 16.40 THE CLAN
Craig Mac and the lads are coming down from The Wirral, to bring their fun back into rock, expect references from T-Rex, The Sweet, Thin Lizzy, Quo, and Slade. Craig was in the NWOBHM band SINNER!
 
17.00 – 17.40 MANDORA
All the way from South Shields in the North East, this NWOBHM band come with their own health and safety gear, expect lights, sound, and thunder. Light the blue touch paper + Retire….BOOM!
 
18.00 – 18.40 BLACKMAYNE
Hailing from Kent, A furious melting of metal and punk straight from 1983. They are promoting their new and incredible album SPAT FROM HELL. Available on Flicknife records.
 
19.10 – 20.00 AIRFORCE
This London based band features Doug Sampson EX Iron Maiden. They are a full on traditional heavy metal force in their own right. They will be performing ‘HEROS’ as a tribute to our great friend Jeff Fuller.
 
20.30 – 21.30 QUARTZ
Quartz date back to 1974, when they were known as ‘Bandy Legs’ They changed their name to Quartz in 1977 and are one of the founders and most important bands of the whole NWOBHM movement. Having toured with Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Rush, U.F.O, Saxon, and Gillian their reputation and legacy is EPIC.To have Quartz with us at Mearfest is just incredible. Let Satan serenade commence!

​It is with mutual sadness that we shan't be having SYZ play at Mearfest next month due to illness 
Me and Mick Atkin have been friends for quite a while now and We wish that SYZ's band member makes a swift and full recovery.
Mick has also sent us all some amazing NWOBHM items for our gig
It's this love and dedication that has made Mearfest the wonderful occasion that it is.
