Quartz have been great supporters of Mearfest since the very beginning, many many thanks to Tim Perry for standing right beside us. For all the fantastic merchandise which we have raffled and given away as previous prizes and will do so again.

He made us this in memory of two previous members of the band who are sadly no longer with us.

In loving memory of

This year we have decided to raise funds for this local charity in Hastings. They build a trik or mobility scooter for individual children who are unable to get what they need from the NHS. Here is a bit about them.......

Charity for Kids was established in 2011 to provide help for disabled, sick and terminally ill children – and their families – across Hastings & Rother.  They help children and their families with specialised equipment that is either not available via the health services or comes with a very high costs, which is not always possible. Please watch the video below and come to hastings on 8-9th December 2017 The Carlisle rock pub on the beachfront!

baby loss awareness week

During this week of remembrance, I would like to share my stills video which is a series of real photos and snapshot videos of Molly.

She was alive once, for 39 weeks and 5 days she moved around in my tummy, growing, moving, sucking her thumb, yawning. Her heart beat at 140-180 beats per minute, she lived once.

Alongside each image of Molly's journey are images and videos of Amelie our second RAINBOW baby. The similarities are incredible, they both went through the same nine-month journey. However, Amelie was born at 37 weeks. But she made it. She breathed, she cried, she wriggled, she blinked, we could see her eyes, we could hold her warm body, we could smell her living skin, we could take her home. She is a miracle. Amelie continues to grow and to amaze us with her development. She is a pure light and joy to behold.

Some of the images of Molly are very raw and real, I want to highlight the harsh realities of still birth, as only we were there, none of our friends, family, colleagues were there to see her or hold her lifeless body. We are both so proud of Molly for all she has given us and this world. Through her loss and our desperate sadness, she has brought awareness of the complications to do with stillbirth and many of other people’s stories of grief have been told, released, let go of, understood, some inner peace has been found, many babies lives have been saved though our story being told and lessons in the medical feild passed on.
Amelie has given hope to many that there can be life after death, at whatever age you are.

NEVER GIVE UP

Dedicated to our two amazing daughters
Molly Mear and Amelie Mear.

Baby Loss Awareness Week in the UK. Each year 9-15 October is Baby Loss Awareness Week. Throughout the week bereaved parents, their families and friends, unite with each other and others across the world to commemorate their babies’ lives.

Baby Loss Awareness Week also provides a chance to raise awareness about the issues surrounding pregnancy and baby loss in the UK. This year SANDS are calling for improved bereavement support for families affected by baby and pregnancy loss.

In the UK, Baby Loss Awareness Week is a collaboration between more than 40 charities.

Baby Loss Awareness Week finishes each year on October 15th with the global ‘Wave of Light’. October 15th is also International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day and is recognised across the world.
