DUST TO DUST

This is a harsh photograph
In fact it's brutal
This is the reality though
In cold cut glass and sterling silver tops
This is it, a life unlived
All our hopes and dreams are contained within
To stand next to our bedsides at night
From this we have built something so beautiful and alive
An event that is a true wonder
Just two tiny hand prints on a piece of card
So when there is nothing but smiles and rapturous clapping of a job well done 
You will see us both silent, tears dampening our cheeks, sadness in our eyes
