I'm really delighted to see this photo and thank you to whoever was kind and skillful enough to capture it
To see our daughters handprint with Tracey Lamb of Girlschool has great significance to me Girlschool were formed in 1978 in Wandsworth London They quickly became a huge part of the NWOBHM scene I saw them often in the early years as they played with other bands such as Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Budgie and Black Sabbath Along with their own UK headline tours of course Within a short period of time they formed a great friendship with Motorhead supporting them on the Overkill tour and bringing out the "St Valentines Day Masacre" ep I remember both bands playing as Head girl on Top of the pops For me their first three albums Demolition, Hit and Run and Screaming blue Murder defined them and assured their status as legendary The longest running all female rock band on earth They have endured and survived very difficult times, the death of their singer Kelly Johnson The arrival of Grunge the whole shift in the music industry and big changes in tastes within Rock music itself The have continued to record albums and tour extensively They have just completed a very successful UK tour where this photo was taken. We are honoured to see Molly on the stage with this wonderful band. When we set out to remember Molly and to highlight the almost hidden subject of infant and stillborn loss through this form of music I could never of imagined this. Thank you all ladies Molly indeed is smiling May you carry on screaming blue murder well into the future.... Magnificent!
