Metal for the future. 14.00 – 14.40 MALLEUS – Andro Coulton (post WITCHFYNDE) NWOBHM project. With exclusive numbers from their new album, Your Nightmare Calls, along with a rendition of ‘Give em hell’ Perfect! 15.00 – 15.40 THE DEAD CAN WAIT Mick Hare and Steve McLoughlin’s new band from local Reading, NWOBHM bands Iron Heart and After Dark, we are really looking forward to hearing this…… 16.00 – 16.40 THE CLAN Craig Mac and the lads are coming down from The Wirral, to bring their fun back into rock, expect references from T-Rex, The Sweet, Thin Lizzy, Quo, and Slade. Craig was in the NWOBHM band SINNER! 17.00 – 17.40 MANDORA All the way from South Shields in the North East, this NWOBHM band come with their own health and safety gear, expect lights, sound, and thunder. Light the blue touch paper + Retire….BOOM! 18.00 – 18.40 BLACKMAYNE Hailing from Kent, A furious melting of metal and punk straight from 1983. They are promoting their new and incredible album SPAT FROM HELL. Available on Flicknife records. 19.10 – 20.00 AIRFORCE This London based band features Doug Sampson EX Iron Maiden. They are a full on traditional heavy metal force in their own right. They will be performing ‘HEROS’ as a tribute to our great friend Jeff Fuller. 20.30 – 21.30 QUARTZ Quartz date back to 1974, when they were known as ‘Bandy Legs’ They changed their name to Quartz in 1977 and are one of the founders and most important bands of the whole NWOBHM movement. Having toured with Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Rush, U.F.O, Saxon, and Gillian their reputation and legacy is EPIC.To have Quartz with us at Mearfest is just incredible. Let Satan serenade commence! 22.00 – 22.50 GANG From Fismes France, Bill Gang and the guys, have been playing classic heavy metal since 1990. They are heavily influenced by Maiden, Priest, Motorhead, Saxon, Lizzy, and Thin Lizzy. Every year they host a NWOBHM festival BRITISH STEEL, In their home town. Bringing from the UK the best bands around. They will round off the first day of celebrations with the most mind-blowing set. Tres Bon!
