Six Candles (A Word from the Birthday Girl)

Those final days
​Will haunt your mind
Left trembling as you wept
Two kind souls in darkness blind
Death though, not in vain
Your tears you’ve shared
Many who never dared
Now embrace their life again
A voice for hidden grief
No longer a silent pain
Joy that met a thief
Left drops of hope within its rain I now skim the desert sand Over mountains I freely fly
No barriers of sea and land I smile and dance
With hand held high
Six candles burn today
Each bares a flame to stay
A truth on each is borne
Love fights the lonely battle
Until the war is won.
