MOLLY IN NEW ZEALAND

This photograph has really affected me.
Molly's handprint on the other side of the world 
Paul Britton a legendary musician from the NWOBHM band Scarab
in New Zealand at Whangerai Falls.
In one moment, one click of the camera it epitomises
all we have achieved in the last three years.
To endure such loss, such grief and transform it into such a positive force
really is a triumph.
We only have Molly's handprint to show she existed and lived
all be it in utero for nine months.
Now she is known worldwide. She really is a symbol of hope now
we have gone on to have another baby girl in our fifties.
To take a form of music which can be misunderstood
and combine it with the tragic subject of Stillborns to raise funds and awareness did seem an impossible task.
But unbelievably it has worked and slowly and surely
we continue to grow and Molly's story and the image of
her tiny hand resonates around the planet.
I am incredibly proud of my wife Claire Mear of the work she has done and continues to do in Molly's name.
It's a difficult task at times, it's unbelievably emotive as I'm sure most people realise regardless of whether they have lost a child or not.

I started Rockstar Productions in 2000 with Andy Wallis and John Dunn
After having a break from Rockstar Productions for a couple of years
As I dealt with my mother's six year heartbreaking battle with cancer
Following her death in 2010 I started MEARFEST naming it after my mother Sally Mear

I met Claire my now wife later that same year, unfortunately they never met each other.
We continued to raise money for various Hospices and cancer charities through MEARFEST, then tragedy struck us both in 2013 when we lost Molly our first daughter, who was stillborn at 40 weeks. This changed everything.
We decided to carry on fund raising and so rebranded everything using Mollys handprint as our logo of love, changing the events to an all round metal night in 2016.

Since September 2000 to our last event last June 2018 
We have had approximately 5000 people attend 
If we do well by the end of next year we should have exceeded £50,000 raised for various charities and individuals throughout the UK. 

Our Charity 'Rock Nights' are now legendary
We have always put on a hell of a show with plenty of colour

Molly was spotted in Bracknell last week by one of our lovely friends Hev Smith. I added this to facebook as it was sent on a day when I was struggling with stuff, as it was just after her 5th birthday. 

I saw this as a sign that she is literally OK and says hello to me and her daddy and her little sister Amélie. We get signs all the time, some very comical as she is highly spirited.

Turns out another friend of ours said it is her friends car! 

Synchronicity at its best.
